BIBS Bridging Science and Society Platform

The BiPoLabs (Biodiversity Policy Research Laboratories) are responsible for ensuring a rapid transfer of knowledge from science to decision-makers, political stakeholders and practitioners, and vice versa back to science. This also includes a scientific advisory function for all relevant interest groups (authorities, NGOs, practitioners, conservationists and citizens' initiatives) and the establishment of joint projects. The BiPoLabs are also responsible for increasing the scientific reach of BIBS by integrating it into national and international networks, transferring BIBS results to biodiversity debates and promoting public awareness.

The BiPoLabs work closely with the ScapeLabs to accomplish these tasks.
